Albemarle County Police are investigating the death of a person who was found in a burning car on Route 231 near the Orange County line.
Shortly after 6 p.m. Thursday, firefighters responded to what was first described as an explosion along the 8200 block of Gordonsville Road. Once on scene, crews found a car fully engulfed in flames. Inside, police say, was one person.
