State police Sgt. Tom Cunningham said six vehicles were involved in a chain reaction wreck. Around 10:30 a.m. on Dec. 1, 2008, a tractor-trailer crashed into two vehicles that were slowing for an earlier crash. The truck and two cars burst into flames.

Cunningham says one person was killed and 7 others were taken to area hospitals; two victims were airlifted from the scene near the 295 interconnect in Prince George.
