Crews are on the scene of a residential structure fire in Bedford County.

Janet Blankenship, spokeswoman for the Bedford County Fire and Rescue Department, said crews responded to a fire at a house on Lazenberry Road sometime around 3 p.m. She said she believed the blaze was under control in about an hour.

One person who was in the house at the time has been taken to the hospital, she said, but she didn’t know where they were taken or what their condition was. She was not aware of any injuries to firefighters.
