Unlike last year, a local firefighter and paramedic is home for the holidays after serving in Iraq.
Jeremy Edwards received a warm welcome home from the Roanoke County Fire Department. Edwards served from September 2007 till this July.
He accompanied the 237th Engineer Company as they searched for bombs. The fire department hosted a special lunch for Edwards.
