RICHMOND, Va. (AP) – Firefighters have rescued a contractor who fell and was left dangling from a flagpole about 75 feet off the ground at a Henrico County auto dealership.
Police say 71-year-old Paul Reed of Sandston was changing a cable on the 105-foot pole Monday afternoon when his rope & board seating rig slipped. As he fell, the seat became wedged at his shoulders and stopped his descent.
