Tones echoed through the stations on Dec. 31,2008 around 8 p.m. The initial dispatch stated structure fire on the 7200 block of O’Malley Road.
Responding crews discovered the structure fully involved and no-one home.
Responding were: Engines 3,11,15,17,Truck 3,Battalion 1,TSO and county police.
Air temps were quickly dropping and gusty winds presented challenges.Water hitting the pavement became black ice.
An aggressive attack protected exposures and conquered the blaze.
The fire is under investigation.
