Crews rescue disabled resident from burning home

Loudoun County Fire-Rescue crews extinguished a fire and saved a life April 7 in Leesburg.

Crews were called to a home at 17638 Old Waterford Road shortly after 7 p.m. for a fire, Loudoun County Fire-Rescue spokeswoman Mary Maguire said.

When emergency personnel members arrived, neighbors told them that there was a disabled resident in the home that needed help escaping.
