VIRGINIA BEACH – An overnight fire forced eight people including four children, to flee their homes in Virginia Beach early Tuesday morning.
13NEWS was told the fire broke out around 12:30 am at the Campus East Townhomes on Campus Drive in Virginia Beach. That is blocks from Virginia Wesleyan College.
Most of the damage at the Campus East Townhome was not immediately visible from the front. According to firefighters on the scene, it was on the back side of the townhome where the fire did most of the damage,
Investigators say the fire started on the backside of one of the townhomes and spread up into the attic. Once there. it moved into the homes on either side.
