The Lynchburg Fire and EMS Department is remembering five fallen heroes killed in the Main Street Fire of 1883.
The department dedicated a plague honoring the men at the Presbyterian Cemetery on Grace Street in Lynchburg.
Grave markers for the firefighters have worn down over time, becoming difficult to read.
