House Fire in Portsmouth

Crews responded to a report of residential structure fire at approximately 12:30 pm on 6-28. Smoke was seen on the horizon approximately 6 miles out and Battalion 1 called a working structure fire en route. Upon arrival house was fully involved and defensive attack was ordered. Initial crews placed in service 2 , 2 1/2 lines with solid bore nozzles. The third 2 1/2 was pulled and the hydrant was not able to flow adequate water. A second water source was found and a second supply line was laid by Engine 10. Initial crews were Ladder 10, Engine 7, Engine 4, Ladder 1, Rescue 1, Battalion 1, Battalion 2, EMS -2, and Medic 9.
