Pulaski firefighter Jeffrey Reed was laid to rest on Friday June 12th. Several hundred people were in attendance for his funeral including firefighters from around Southwest Virginia. Firefighter Jeff Reed succumbed to injury/illness he was affected by while operating at a house fire. Roanoke City and Roanoke County Honor Guard assisted with the funeral.

Many great words were said about Firefighter Reed both as a firefighter and as a family man. His last call was given over the radio by Pulaski County dispatchers leaving not one dry eye in the funeral home. Rest in Peace Firefighter Reed, your brothers and sisters will get the next one.
