Wytheville Fire Department responds to Accident. A motorcyclist was killed and another person was flown to a Roanoke hospital on Friday afternoon in two separate wrecks on Interstate 81.Police and rescue crews responded to the motorcycle crash at approximately 3:34 p.m. on I-81 northbound at the 73 mile marker. Police said that one person died in that wreck. The second three-vehicle crash with injuries took place shortly thereafter at the 72 mile marker. The interstate was blocked as a helicopter landed on the roadway to fly one victim to the hospital. All lanes were open again by 5 p.m. on Friday, police said
