HAMPTON – As the Fourth of July holiday approaches, fire officials across Hampton Roads say they’ll be on the lookout for illegal fireworks.

The Hampton Fire Dept. confiscates illegal fireworks, like these that were seized in 2008.
Many localities don’t allow fireworks of any kind while others allow specific ones, like sparklers and snakes, with adult supervision.
