Manassas City firefighter Zygimantas Zalys passed away peacefully at his home Thursday morning.
Zalys, known as āZā, had been battling pancreatic cancer and was receiving medical care at the Cancer Treatment Center in Philadelphia.
According to a press release by the City of Manassas Fire and Rescue Department, the 32-year-old died in the presence of his immediate family. They were joined by several members from the fire department.
