Tones sounded and crews were dispatched to Coxendale Road on June 16 around 10 a.m. to an overturned truck-person possibly trapped call.
As crews arrived it was discovered a septic pump truck had overturned, spilling some of its contents into a ditch and onto the roadway. The driver was not injured.
A crash wrecker was called in to right the truck but just couldn’t accomplish it,an additional wrecker was needed and soon was dispatched to the scene.
The Fire Marshal’s Office,DEQ,Chesterfield Environmental Engineering and county police also were on scene.
DEQ performed tests on a nearby stream to make sure none of the spill reached it.
After the pump truck was righted and towed away, another pump truck was called in to remove the spill.
Police have not said if charges will be filed.
