When the guys of Wintergreen Fire and Rescue go to work, it is no normal day at the office. Every month, they spend time practicing rope rescues. Tuesday crews spent the day practicing what crews do if a hiker or sport climber goes over the edge of a cliff.
One of the most important reasons for this training is so that a real rescue works like clockwork.
