YORK COUNTY, Va. – A woman pulled from a burning home in York County Wednesday morning has died, fire officials told WAVY.com.

The fire broke out at a house in the 100 block of Yorkshire Drive at 8:15 a.m.

A Dominion Virginia Power meter reader noticed the smoke and reported the fire.  Units arrived five minutes later and discovered heavy smoke coming from the second floor and roof. Firefighters entered the home and found a woman unresponsive on the second floor.
