The Augusta County Fire Department (Station 10) has recently taken delivery of a large and unique heavy squad built by American LaFrance. Designated as “Squad 10″, it is a 2008 American LaFrance Eagle. In addition its duties of a heavy rescue, Squad 10 is equipped for Level B HAZMAT, technical rescue, and vehicle rescue.
The American LaFrance replaces two former trucks at Station 10 – a 1987 International/Swab medium rescue squad and a 1980 Ford/Hackney HAZMAT truck.
Station 10 in Augusta County is located outside of Staunton, Virginia just off of I81.

Why no Tandem Rear axles? Thats got to be handful to drive?? Picture looks like a hell of a long wheel base!
