Stafford, VA – On Sunday, November 1, 2009 at approximately 4:30 a.m., Stafford County Fire and Rescue Department units responded to a residential structure fire reported at 3237 Titanic Drive in Aquia Harbor. First arriving units reported the two-story single family home fully involved in fire. Firefighters mounted an aggressive attack on the fire and protected exposed properties. Fire and rescue units from Quantico provided mutual aid during the incident.
There were no injuries to civilians or fire and rescue personnel reported during the incident. Three occupants of the residence escaped unharmed and have been displaced. Offers of Red Cross or other assistance were denied. A small dog, unharmed, was rescued by firefighters during the incident.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation by Stafford County Fire Marshals. .
Preliminary damage estimates of the structure and contents have been set at $450,000.00.
