On Tuesday, November 3rd the South River Fire Department and Fairfield Rescue Squad were dispatched for an RV on fire at the rest area in Fairfield. An engine company arrived on-scene to find heavy fire & smoke showing from the RV and a Jeep that it was pulling. A Tanker, second engine, and response vehicle arrived shortly after providing additional water and manpower. There was about $150,000 damage.
