2 Richmond Firefighters Injuried in a MVA

Engine 12 was dispatched to a medical call at 0739 hours today. They were responding with their lights and siren activated. As the units approached the intersection of W. Cary Street and Meadow, E-12 and a car collided that resulted in one person from the car being transported to the hospital as well as two firefighters. None of the injuries were life-threatening. All parties were later released. No charges have been filed as Richmond Police continue to investigate this accident. Another unit was dispatched to the medical call to replace E-12.
