December 17, 2009 (ROANOKE COUNTY) – Roanoke County Fire & Rescue was
dispatched to the 3700 block of Bradshaw Road around 2:30 this afternoon. A nearby
resident called to report the neighbor’s house was on fire.
When firefighters arrived they found smoke and flames coming from the attached garage of a
single story ranch home. Fire crews from the Masons Cove and Catawba stations had the
flames extinguished in about 15 minutes. The fire damage was contained to the garage which
housed two cars and there is some smoke damage throughout the home.
The couple who live in the house were not home at the time of the fire. Two dogs were
rescued from the home. The couple will be displaced for the night.
No injuries were reported.
Investigators are on scene.
