At approximately 4:45am on Thursday January 28th the Prince William County Public Safety Communications Center dropped a residential Box Alarm for the house at 6967 Gillis Way, sending 5 Engine Companies, 2 Truck/Tower Companies, a Heavy Rescue along with numerous EMS and command units. Units arrived to find a 2-story, single family dwelling (under construction) with heavy fire showing. Due to the heavy volume of fire units initiated aggressive defensive operations with careful attention directed towards protecting the delta side exposure dwelling. A second alarm was requested but soon returned to service. Units operated for several hours before returning to service. There were no injuries reported.
