RICHMOND, Va. (AP) – The state is suing a general contractor and a construction company linked to a fatal building collapse in Chesterfield County.
The Virginia Department of Labor and Industry has filed lawsuits in Chesterfield County Circuit Court against McBar Industries Incorporated and E.C. Couch Builder Incorporated, asking that the court enforce citations the agency issued against both companies and collect a total of $146,000 in fines.
