Apparatus Spotlight – Loudoun Co. Hazmat 619

By Mike Sanders

HAZMAT 619 from Loudoun County recently received a graphics “makeover” in December of 2009 and looks great.

HAZMAT 619 is a 2004 Spartan Gladiator built by SVI out of Loveland, Colorado. The HAZMAT is housed at Fire Station 19 in South Riding, and responds across the county for HAZMAT incidents. When a HAZMAT call is dispatched, the crew from the engine company (Engine 619) takes the HAZMAT, the ambulance crew takes HAZMAT Support Unit 619 (a Ford E cargo van), and Tower 19 also responds for additional staffing.

Included in the graphics update were lettering and stripes.

A special thanks to Ray Muth and Brent Harne for taking the time to move HAZMAT 619 for photos.

Photos posted also include Engine 619 (2007 Spartan/Ferrara 1500/750) and Tower 619 (2007 Pierce Dash 95′).
