Central VA Weather Related Incidents
As of 8:20 pm Thursday, Dominion is reporting about 43,344 customers in central Virginia are without power.
Henrico fire tells CBS 6 they are getting numerous calls for accidents and fires. Firefighters responded to a house fire in the 3500 block of Old Williamsburg Road, which took about 45 minutes to get under control. Most of the damage was to the 2nd floor, but no injuries have been reported.

New computer system eases EMT care for Goochland residents
The next time Goochland Fire and Rescue brings a patient to Henrico Doctors Hospital, emergency room staff will know what to expect. That’s because Goochland is using 10 new Panasonic Toughbook laptop computers to send patient information to the hospital while the patient is en route, said Volunteer Captain Tom Ferris of Company 5.
Cullers accepts fire and rescue chief’s position
WINCHESTER — Veteran firefighter and lifelong city resident J. Scott Cullers will lead the Winchester Fire and Rescue Department. Winchester officials appointed Cullers to succeed Frank Wright as the chief of the Fire and Rescue Department, according to City Manager Jim O’Connor.
Cause of massive VB fire ‘undetermined’
VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) – Fire investigators still don’t know what caused a massive fire in the Ridgley Manor neighborhood of Virginia Beach last month. Three homes in the 5200 block of Bathley placed were destroyed by the two-alarm fire on Thursday, July 22.
