STAUGHTON, Neville McLean Jr., 85 of Mechanicsville, passed away August 26, 2010. He is survived by his devoted wife, Jeannine Dance Staughton; one brother, Harry Staughton and his wife, Lee Staughton; one sister, Jane Staughton Barlow; one daughter, Karen Staughton McNamara and her husband, Gary Wayne McNamara; two sons, Darrell Ray Staughton and Marvin Wayne Staughton; four grandchildren, Misty, Jimmy, Tiffany, Chelsea and her husband, Joe Ferguson; three great-grandchildren, Kalib, Mitchell and Samuel; many beloved nieces and nephews; and his beloved cousin, Josephine in Germany. He was a retired fire captain with the Richmond Fire Bureau with 37 years of service. He was a charter union member of the Richmond Fire Bureau. He was a U.S. Navy veteran serving on the USS New York during WWII. He was a member of the VFW Battle Field Post #9808. The family would like to thank Heartland Hospice and his devoted niece, Joe Lynn Staughton for their faithful care during his last days. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, September 1, at Bliley’s-Staples Mill, 8510 Staples Mill Rd. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to the American Heart Association .
