MondayCrews from several area fire departments responded to a Monday afternoon blaze at 4331 Chapman Road in between Wytheville and Fort Chiswell.Old tires and other debris were scorched in the approximately 12:15 p.m. fire that sent plumes of black smoke into the sky near the Interstate 81/77 overlap.
