WINCHESTER — The chief of the Frederick County Fire and Rescue Department remains on administrative leave following his arrest Monday for driving while intoxicated.
County Administrator John Riley Jr. said Tuesday morning that Tim Welsh is on leave with pay pending an internal investigation. Fire Marshal Denny Linaburg has been named acting chief during the investigation, Riley said. Read more
