At approximately 03:56 the Lexington Fire Dept. and Life Saving Crew along with Buena Vista Fire Dept. were alerted for a tractor trailer wreck on I-81. Chief 9-2 arrived, established command and informed incoming units of a tractor trailer jack knifed, with the cab pinned between an embankment and the trailer, with confirmed entrapment. Upon the arrival of the first engine units began the extrication process. It took approximately an hour and thirty minutes to successfully extricate the victim and load him into an awaiting ambulance.
