WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (WAVY) – Fire officials say one person is dead after an early morning fire in Williamsburg. Two others are still missing.

Fire crews were called to the scene of the fire in the 8600 block of Pocohontas Trail, near Busch Gardens, just after 1:30 Tuesday morning.

Officials say a family of four, a mother, father and two adult sons, were home at the time of the fire, however just one of them made it out safely. When fire crews arrived they found one person screaming for help from a second story window. When he was rescued, he told firefighters that three more people were inside, according to fire department spokesman Bob Ryalls. Crews entered the home and found one person who collapsed on the stairs. That person died at the scene.
