Charlottesville Offers Online Resources to Viewers

From Fire Chief Charles L. Werner, EFO/CFO

As the potential of severe thunderstorms head our way, I wanted to remind you of the CFD Situational Awareness VueToo website:

http://216.205.75.5/CharlottesvilleFire/Situationpagenews.asp?rc=&cc=&af=1&sit=33&z=&np=

It provides a multi-window view of a number of resource websites.  Click on any of the windows to open it up separately.

1.  NWS full national radar loop from which you can also click on any location on that map and it will pull up the local radar feed for more specific information to an area.

2.  Dominion VA Power Outage map – provides you with specific outages and their locations for Virginia.  You can click on a specific locality for the demographics.

3.  City fire incidents and CARS Rescue Incidents.  CFD requires a username (fids) and password (cfdcfd).

4.  Virginia DOT road conditions and traffic cameras
