Occoquan Woodbridge Lorton VFD responds to Town House Fire

Woodbridge, VA October 7, 2011 — 12:58am Occoquan-Woodbridge-Lorton Volunteer Firefighters responded to the report of a fire at 14825 Winding Loop, Woodbridge. OWL VFD  Engine 512 arrived on scene within 4 minutes reporting fire on the first floor. Engine 512′s crew quickly advanced a hose line into the house and began an attack on the fire. Engine 512′s officer sent a second crew to attack additional fire in the basement.  The fire was contained to the basement and first floor. The fire was under control within 15 minutes. Units conducted a search of all floors and determined the residence was vacant. There were no injuries.

Fire and Rescue units from OWL VFD, Dale City VFD, Dumfries-Triangle VFD and PWC Department of Fire and Rescue responded to the incident. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

OWL volunteer Firefighters and EMTs work the 6 pm to 6 am shift, five days a week, plus 24/7 holidays and weekends.
