TANGIER ISLAND — The Tangier Volunteer Fire Department received a new ambulance along with the return of its 1990 pump truck that had been sent for repairs to Steve Cropper and Sons in Ocean City.

The equipment arrived by barge, with Steven Thomas Transportation of Crisfield providing transport to the tiny island in the middle of the Chesapeake Bay.
