HANOVER, VA (WWBT) – An area firefighter is accused of sex crimes with a minor.
Ryan Nugent, 24, faces a number of charges, including indecent exposure, trespassing and having sexual intercourse with a teenager.
The prosecutor handling the case said a resident spotted Nugent and the minor — who’s at least 15 years of age — naked in somebody’s backyard. Police were called, and sex charges were filed.
Nugent has served as a volunteer firefighter with Hanover County’s Black Creek division for six months. Now, he could serve time behind bars.
