MIERS, Wade E. Jr., 59, of Ashland passed away May 21, 2012. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Barbara P. Miers; his son J. Bryan Miers and his wife, Michaela; his sister, Ann Miers Farrar; two grandchildren, Finley and Blake Miers; and two nieces, Ashton and Allyson Farrar. Wade retired as Lieutenant from Henrico Fire Department after 26 years of service. His family will receive visitors 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday at Bliley’s-Staples Mill, 8510 Staples Mill Road. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday at Gayton Baptist Church, 13501 N. Gayton Road, Henrico, Va., 23233. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Henrico Fire Fighters and Families Charitable Foundation, P.O. Box 5730, Glen Allen, Va. 23058.
