Amissville Volunteer Fire and Rescue’s 2002 Freightliner tanker is towed from the scene of an early-morning accident Nov. 8 on Viewtown Road at U.S. 211, where the vehicle slid into a ditch and tipped over after the driver lost control during a left turn from Lee Highway en route to a chimney fire in Culpeper County. Driver John Francis Pearre, 34, was uninjured in the accident.
