In Stafford County, four members of the Falmouth Volunteer Fire Department escaped serious injury when their engine rolled over while enroute to a reported house fire. The accident occured on Brooke Road, about halfway between their firehouse and the incident address.
The crash happened at about 11:30 a.m. in the 900 block of Brooke Road, on a winding downhill stretch of the two-lane road, when the fire engine rolled onto its driver’s side.
The house fire, in the 1700 block of Brooke Road, turned out to be a minor incident and was handled by another fire crew, Lockhart said.
