VAFireNews.com invites your submissions on news stories, incident reports, photographs and any other type of item you wish to share with the fire service community of Virginia.

The following are examples of the types of items we are interested in:

• Recent working incidents or events, including photographs. Submission can be any length, but please include at least one paragraph detailing the incident or event.
• Non-emergency training, public safety education and similar events.
• Recent new apparatus deliveries. May include significant rehab projects.
• We reserve the right whether to publish stories or not.

Please include your name, agency and your email address.

Photography Guidelines:

• Digital images can be emailed to the address below. Photos can be any resolution, as long as they are at least 72 dpi. Please ensure images are at least 400 pixels wide. Most digital cameras will fufill these requirements.
• Do not submit images that are out of focus, poorly composed or have lense obstructions.
• If any images have victims included, we reserve the right to crop or alter the image to obscure their identity. It is not the intention of FireNews to publish photographs of members of the public in graphic situations.
• If you scan an image, scan at 72dpi (RGB).
• Do not submit images from camera phones.
• Send photographs as attachments to an email.
