Elliston adds two new brush trucks to their fleet

The Elliston F.D. has added two Brush trucks the their fleet in the last year. These trucks have replaced a 1975 and a 1986 unit. Brush 21 is a 2006 Ford F-350 LX Super Duty 4x4 with the Viton V-10 Engine. Brush 20 is a 2008 Ford F-350 LX Super Duty 4x4 with the Viton V-10 Engine.

Roanoke Fire-EMS Engine 13

The Roanoke Fire-EMS Department just took delivery of a Pierce Quantum Engine from Singer Associates, sold by Scott Fritz. The engine has 1000 gallons of water on board, which is one of two 1000 gallon pumpers in the City.

Metropolitan Washington Airport Authority - National Airport

We have taken delivery of a new Mass Casualty Unit which is a 2007 Kenworth / Hackney Tractor Drawn unit that is going to be equipped for double level 3's and also carries some equipment to support our Haz-Mat unit. The new MCU also has a 12kw generator, 2 - 200' cord reels and 4 trailer mounted quartz lights.

Prince George Receives Six New Apparatus Units

Prince George County recently purchased five new fire engines and one new ladder truck (Quint). The price tag weighs in at $2,603,835, this is the largest purchase of apparatus the county has ever made at once.

On March 21, 2007 the Fairfield Vol. Rescue Squad took delivery of a 2007 Chevrolet 4500 Ambulance. The ambulance was purchased through J&J Emergency Vehicles and is a Type I 4X4 built by Road Rescue. The unit will be in service by April 1, 2007.

The Newport News Fire Department has recently taken delivery of four new ambulances from American LaFrance.  Constructed on 2006 Freightliner M2 chassis, the units are powered by a Mercedes MBE 900 motor rated at 250 horsepower and coupled with an Allison 3000 EVS automatic transmission.  The body is 160" in length and features 72" of interior headroom.  The units were constructed at American LaFrance's facility in Sanford, Florida and sold by Jeff Hawkins.

Linden VFD recently received their 2007 Ford F-450 Ambulance. The ambulance was built by EXCELLANCE INC. The unit is a type 1 ambulance and is 4x4. The unit was received in October 2006 and will be placed in service on January 12th of this year.
