Chesterfield Recruit Class Experiences Live Burn

It was a day filled with stretching lines, setting blazes, and getting a first hand feel for the challenge of facing a structure fire one-on-one.

Chesterfield Fire and EMS Career Recruit Class #38 along with their Training Battalion Chief Robert Avsec and numerous firefighters and leaders took part.

A Chesterfield citizen had donated the structure.

The burn included the house structure and a wooden shed that stood out back.

It was a day of learning,camaradrie,and a taste of what the siren’s call would yield.
