Bristol Firefighters Assist Bristol Tennessee Fire and Rescue
on a Large Industrial Fire

0900 Thanksgiving Day Bristol Virginia Fire Quint one responded to assist Bristol Tenn. Fire and Rescue on a Large industrial fire in an old Casket factory. Bristol Tenn. Engine 19 arrived to find heavy smoke and fire conditions throughout the structure. Bristol Tennessee Shift commander called for a general alarm for the City of Bristol Tennessee which brought 2 more Engines, 2 Medic Units, 1 Quint, and 1 Tower to the scene. On arrival a defensive attack began on the structure. Bristol Tenn. Fire command requested another Aerial apparatus from Bristol Va. Quint 1 and Response 1 (command vehicle) responded. Bristol Tenn. Command also called in several Engine companies from Sullivan County Tenn. Bristol Va. Quint one operated from the A: D corner for approximately 4 hours.
No injuries to civilians or suppression personnel were reported.
Operating on the scene were Bristol Virginia: Response 1, Quint 1 Bristol Tenn. Engine’s 19, 21, and 51. Medic’s 25 and 23. Quint 5 and Ladder 3.
