Around the Station - Manchester

The Chesterfield Ruritan Club, aided by a large group of citizens, formed the Manchester Volunteer Fire Department in April of 1945. This was the county's third fire department. (Click Picture for more information and pictures) By Becky Robinette Wright

Richmond Fire Station 22-Broad Rock Road.
The crews at Station 22 sit down to a delicious home cooked meal. Homemade chicken soup, fresh tossed salad, biscuits, cornbread and a dessert cake that melted in your mouth was the menu for lucky partakers. Just as everyone finished their last bites of the feast, Station 22 was toned out and Quint 22 dashed off to a fire call off Hull Street in Richmond’s Southside. Submitted by Becky Robinette Wright
