Fire in Middletown
Companies from Frederick, Shenandoah and Warren Counties responded to this early morning fire on Monday March 12, 2007. First arriving units from Middletown faced heavy fire from the garage of the home. Crews from Middletown and Strasburg made an aggressive attack on the fire and stopped it from spreading to the rest of the home. Submitted by

Stuart VFD Live Fire Training Saturday 2-4-07
Members of the Stuart Volunteer Fire Deptartment trained at a 2 story house in the middle of downtown Stuart. Members got to train on SCBA, ventilation, Interior and exterior fire attack. Hamilton Volunteer Fire Department
This picture is on the scene of a 3 alarm fire in Loudoun County at Shenstone Farm. The fire began in the Laundry Room and the entire house was consumed by the fire. Nobody was home at the time the fire started and the house burned to the ground.

On Scene with the Roanoke Fire-EMS Department
Roanoke Fire-EMS responded for a Building fire at 1133 Pilot Street NW. E13, L13, E9, E4, E5, L7, M10, M4, BC-2, and Salem Engine 2 responded for the reported fire. E13 advised of a heavy column of smoke which could be seen as they responded from Station 13 on Peters Creek Rd. Firefighters experienced heavy fire from two apartments which had spread to one other in the 4 unit apartment building. The Firefighters were able to contain the fire quickly and the primary and secondary searches were negative.

Mayday Goes Out During Attic Flashover
The tone sounded at 1345 hours, on Nov 27,2006 for 1609 Wilmington Avenue. The structure was a hundred year old, two story wood cape, it had metal tabs with plaster walls, a large piece of tin along the roof edge and a heavy slate roof. (Read More) Story by Becky Robinette Wright

Richmond Firefighters Battle Massive Blaze in Utz Warehouse By Becky Robinette Wright Pictures by Lt. Kieth Vida The Utz delivery driver pulled into the warehouse unaware of what was happening within his vehicle. Moments later his truck and a nearby delivery were engulfed in flames. Operations included a 1 ¾ attack line to protect an exposure on the BRAVO side, and a portable monitor/blitz line for fire attack. A 4” supply line supplied by an engine placed at a drop site which drafted from two drop tanks. Class A foam was also used to prevent flare-ups. Read More |
